Who is responsible

What this is about
On this page you register for the AI Salon “Sound Decisions” on 15 October 2026 at the Funkhaus Wien. AI Austria and chim.ai organise the evening together.
What data we process
- What you enter in the form: first and last name, email address, job title, organisation, your answer to our question (yes or no, and why), where your team is with AI, your side of the room, the size of your organisation, whether you decide on AI projects or budgets, and who you want to meet.
- How you reached the page: the source in the link, for example the newsletter or LinkedIn. If one of the hosts invited you directly, we received your name and email address from them so we can recognise your registration.
- Your consents with date and time, the status of your registration and the emails we send you about it.
- If we add you as a guest personally: only name, email address, job title and organisation.
This page sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics tools and loads nothing from other servers.
Why, and on what legal basis
- Registration and organising the evening, meaning choosing the guests, emails about the evening, entry and name tags: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, because you register or accept our invitation. For sharing with AI Austria: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- Storing your registration in chim.ai's contact system (CRM), to organise the evening and to write to you once, personally, afterwards: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You only get further emails with your consent to invitations.
- The guest list for the other confirmed guests, only with your consent: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- Email invitations to future AI Salons from AI Austria and chim.ai, only with your consent: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 174 of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021).
Who receives your data
- To organise this evening: chim.ai (Andreas Fraunberger e.U.) and AI Austria (AI Austria – Verein zur Förderung von Künstlicher Intelligenz in Österreich, Wollzeile 24/14, 1010 Vienna).
- With your consent to invitations to future AI Salons: AI Austria and chim.ai, only your name and email address, to send you those invitations.
- With your consent, the other confirmed guests, and only your name, job title and organisation on the guest list.
- Technical service providers working on our behalf: the server operator, Hostinger. The exact server location still requires operator confirmation before production.
- The provider of chim.ai's contact system (CRM), working on our behalf: Attio Limited, London (United Kingdom; the UK is covered by an EU adequacy decision). Attio hosts on Google Cloud (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland) and uses further sub-processors, including in the USA (for example for email delivery and data enrichment), under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
We delete your registration data six months after the evening at the latest, by 15 April 2027. The same applies in the contact system. If you want invitations to future AI Salons, we keep your name, email address and consent for that until you unsubscribe.
Server logs
The server logs technical access data such as IP address and time to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not link them to your registration. They are deleted after approximately 28 days.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to the processing. You can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also manage your seat and your invitations to future Salons yourself via the secure link in our email. Write to andreas@chim.ai. You can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
What is required
Without the required fields and the first consent we cannot process your registration. Everything marked optional is voluntary.
